SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE GET FIT

So You Think You Can Dance this month released two new fitness DVDs that are aimed at getting folks onto the dance floor.

"Dancers from past seasons attempt to get you into shape with two new fitness DVDs: So You Think You Can Dance Get Fit: Tone and Grove and So You Think You Can Dance Get Fit: Cardio Funk," reports nbcsandiego. "You can learn hip-hop with Twitch and Lauren, get jazzy with Katee, Cha-Cha with Dmitry, get groovy with Courtney and bop contemporary style with Travis."

In discussing the making of the DVD, Season 4th Katee Shean told buddytv, "Mine is definitely more for like your legs and toning up. There's a little bit of everything, which is cool. ... We'd count everyone like '5, 6, 7, 8' and to a dancer that's normal. You know, after 8, that's when you start. So we had like fitness trainers and people who had done DVDs before come in and help coach us on how to instruct and how to break it down without slowing it down to the point where you'd stop the cardi pace or change your heart rate. To the point you'd still be dancing, and still learning."

The dancers are said to use easy routines that speed up as the DVD progresses along.
